Bottle opener

A single wedge that opens a bottle. The form came out of two concept directions worked up on paper, then a run of printed models used to test the section, the cutout and how it sits in a hand.

One print was taken all the way: printed, sanded, smoothed and painted to read as a finished metal object. From there the form was sand cast in aluminum, then filed, flattened, polished and brushed in one direction to finish.
