The 3082 Book Table is a side table and multi-purpose containment system designed for Standard Equipment's 2025 design contest, where it tied for first place across three winning entries. It is built to the SE brand formula: 5 mm bent 6061 aluminum in a raw finish, standard M8 hardware, and the studio's silicone bushings.
Folded aluminum shells bolt together to create a flat top surface and an open compartment that keeps books and magazines upright and within reach. The design began as a small magazine holder, grew into a compact table and went through iterations as the blueprint for an audio set. It is currently being worked through with Standard Equipment and could reach production.
SE Development
Since the contest, Josh Gadomski at Standard Equipment has been developing the design in house, resolving it into a table and then extending the same folded-sheet system into a full audio setup. All renders in this section are by Josh Gadomski, Standard Equipment.
